India claimed victory against Sri Lanka by 38 runs during the first cricket T20 International on Sunday. The top scorer for India was Suryakumar Yadav who made 50 runs from only 34 balls. India’s skipper, Shikhar Dhawan, also had a great day of batting, scoring 46 from 36 balls. India ended the day on 164/5.
Sri Lanka had a poor response as all players were out for 126 in only 18.3 overs. The top scorer for Sri Lanka was Charith Asalanka who made 44 runs from 26 balls. Deepak Chahar took a few wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4 wickets in total during the match.
Second T20I Postponed Due to Positive Covid Test
India and Sri Lanka were scheduled to play their 2nd T20 International on Tuesday, 27 July 2021. However, Krunal Pandya has recently tested positive for the virus which forced the second T20I between Sri Lanka and India to be postponed by a day.
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) revealed the news on Twitter before informing our reporters at BettingPro. The BCCI also mentioned that the entire Indian team is currently undergoing RT-PCR tests to avoid an additional outbreak within the squad.
